remember when the insects fed off all our moments
you can't deny, the structures failed us in the go-slow

love with them would kill her now
catch me i'm falling down
love with them would kill her now

decrease the movements
would you?
switch transition, switch transition
decrease the movement
love me 'til i die
i don't expect much

remember the time we lost ourselves to being lonely
without love we sing and dance and kill together

love with them would kill her now
catch me i'm falling down
love with them would kill her now

decrease the movements
would you?
switch transition, switch transition
decrease the movement
love me 'til i die
i don't expect much

catch me i'm falling down
catch me i'm falling down
catch me i'm falling down
catch me i'm falling

the go-slow
the go-slow
the go-slow

The guys have talked about this in the past, though they try not to explain their songs much... Its about abortion- a concept which makes much more sense when you see that the real lyrics (according to biffyclyro.com) are:

Remember when, the insects fed off all our moments Can’t deny, the structure's failed us and the go-slow Love her then but killer now, catch me I’m falling down Love her then but killer now

Decrease the movement, would you switch transition, switch transition Decrease the movement, love me ‘til I die, I don't expect more

Remember the time, we lost ourselves to being lonely Without love, we sing and dance and kill together Love her then but kill her now, catch me I’m falling down Love her then but kill her now

Decrease the movement, would you switch transition, switch transition Decrease the movement, love me ‘til I die, I don't expect more Catch me I’m falling down, catch me I’m falling down…

The lyrics talk about how the man 'Love[d] her then but killer now'- killing the result of their love: the baby. The baby is clearly an accident, 'Remember the time, we lost ourselves to being lonely'. Really you have to examine every word of Biffy's lyrics to truly understand them.

I love this song and this band, another band from oor wee Scotland. I'd love to know where to find lyrics for the rest of the album. I think the lyrics are kind of describing a Bonnie and Clyde sort of relationship. Totally twisted and romantic. If you dont know who bonnie and clyde are look them up, very interesting.....;-)

I'll put up Justboy tomorrow. Tis late. P.S Has anybody Seen Nick Valensi? He went off with that Amanda bird and hasn't come back.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
