First voice:
These symptoms suggested that our evolution, I suppose, from the animal kingdom
into the human kingdom itself was catalyzed, or triggered by our encounter with
these hallucenogenics, and
Second voice:
Yes, we are an ape with a symbiotic relationship to a mushroom, and that has
given us self reflection, language, religion and all the spectrum of effects
that flow from these things.
First voice again:
And one can only wonder how these hallucinogens might effect our future
evolution as well...
Second voice again:
They have brought us to this point, and as we make our relationship to them
concious, we may be able to take control of our furute evolutionary path.

The person you hear speaking is not Mr. Rogers, it is Terance McKenna, a famous hallucinogens researcher. He is talking about his theory of how apes evolved to humans by consuming hollucinogenic mushrooms, giving them a conciousness. For more info on him go here - http://www.deoxy.org/mckenna.htm . That being the point of the track is the same as the monolith's point on 2001, it reflects change and consequences which happen from changes.
i rember hearing that this a sample from some self-help infomercial,i could be wrong though.

this is sort of a tribute to 2001: a space odessey
Intro Song named after the alien artifact from space oddesy
this song is just contributing to there whole 'sci-fi' theme to the cd.. no meaning.. oh, and if you listen carefully, you can hear "i am everything, i am nothing!" in the background
The monolith is from 2001, but the whole album is a consept album of diffrent theories, and human evalution, this track basicly sets the stage for the rest of the album.
