Wild Is the Wind (Johnny Mathis cover) Lyrics
Love me, love me. Say you do.
Let me fly away with you.
We are creatures of the wind,
Wild is the wind.
Give me more than one caress,
Satisfy this hungriness.
We are creatures of the wind,
Wild is the wind.
You touched me, I hear the sound
of mandolins. You kissed me,
With your kiss my life begins.
Like a leaf clings to a tree,
Baby, please, cling to me.
We are creatures of the wind,
Wild is the wind.
You touched me, I hear the sound
of mandolins. And you kissed me,
With your kiss my life begins.
Love me, love me. Say you do.
Let me fly away with you.
Let me fly away with you.
We are creatures of the wind,
Wild is the wind.
Satisfy this hungriness.
We are creatures of the wind,
Wild is the wind.
of mandolins. You kissed me,
With your kiss my life begins.
Like a leaf clings to a tree,
Baby, please, cling to me.
Wild is the wind.
You touched me, I hear the sound
of mandolins. And you kissed me,
With your kiss my life begins.
Let me fly away with you.

this song is so beautiful. yeah. sometimes, it hurts.
A beautiful song. Hot song to make love to.
She played this live and it was incredible. Everyone around me was either silently crying or about to.
Chan does this song in such a way that you can't help but cry. It's amazing.
this song is absolutely beautiful.
this song is so goregous, and it feels like its pulling at your lungs and your heart but it makes you feel so incredible at the same time
this song is so so amazing.
this cover is so gorgeous, i dont know how the original song sounds but this version is so incredible!
The song was originally recorded by Johnny Mathis in 1956, for a film also called "Wild Is The Wind", but it was made most famous by Nina Simone. It's Nina Simone's version that Cat Power is covering here.
Try Nina Simone's version it's so vibrant it tears you in pieces and with voice that can meltdown walls. And if you do, pay some notice to the pianoplayer going wonderfully berserk on the tune as if he is playing the tune by him self! But strangely it creates some blend of two wastly separate styles into something timeless... A Must have...
As for the version with Cat power, I havent heard it yet but ill make sure it's not for long until i do, beacuse the song is one of my most treasured ones.
