Emma's Song Lyrics
The first time I saw you
I loved you
I loved you
Your face blue
Your eyes too
Your mouth too
Your mouth too
When I heart you
I wanted to
Give birth to you
Give birth to you
I made love to you
I made love to you
The great goddess
Had us blessed
The last time I saw you
I fought with you
I fought with you
I didn't mean to
I didn't mean to
Oh say you'll see me
Let me say sorry
The next time I'll see you
I'll love you
I'll be sweet to you
I'll take you to
My healing room
Oh we both know
How loneliness goes
Everytime I see you
I want you
I want you
The more I do
You hate me to
But the great goddess
Had us blessed
I loved you
I loved you
Your face blue
Your eyes too
Your mouth too
Your mouth too
When I heart you
I wanted to
Give birth to you
Give birth to you
I made love to you
I made love to you
The great goddess
Had us blessed
The last time I saw you
I fought with you
I fought with you
I didn't mean to
I didn't mean to
Oh say you'll see me
Let me say sorry
The next time I'll see you
I'll love you
I'll be sweet to you
I'll take you to
My healing room
Oh we both know
How loneliness goes
Everytime I see you
I want you
I want you
The more I do
You hate me to
But the great goddess
Had us blessed

ive never ever heard this song but its gotta be good cause it has the best name EVER in the title lol!anyone wanna comment and tell me if it is actually good or not?!
HA HA i dunno i just clicked on it coz it had my name init.....LOL
This song is an ode to Sineads daughter. Its a great song about her pride to be a mom with powerful but silent music - Irish what else....
It's always a great plaesure to listen this song.
i clicked on it cos it had my name too, suga lumpkin! i'm looking for "jackie" cos placebo did a cover.
Hey, that's why I clicked on it too! I see a theme here... :)
Sorbitolith > Might be. However, the name of Sinéad O'Connor's daughter is not Emma. This song is so simple yet so powerful, I think it can be "molded" into millions of interpretations. And that's what makes it so powerful.
I’ve heard so many interpretations of this song and how it personally touches people. That is one of the things that make a song great. This is a great song of an underrated album. I love all kinds of great music and this is one of my go to albums up there with the pixies, flaming lips, Pink Floyd, the shins, muse, Sade, dido, nightmares on wax, thievery corporations, khunangbin, beastie boys, OutKast, portishead, the spoons. Each one of these bands have one special album that will be great even 50 years from now. Dark side of the moon, yoshimi, You wish, Doolittle, lovers rock, etc….
