This is a great song. if nobody knows who Gey Daze is, i definetly recommend listening to them. They are so awesome. Chester Bennington from Linkin Park is the lead singer in this band, when he was in high school. This is really a great song.

this song was made in 1997 actually becaused it was on no sun today which was released that year
2001? That is ridiculous. And true the song is on No Sun Today, but there is an even earlier version of the song on their 1994 album Wake Me
This is a great song, with very powerful vocals. I always liked Chester's voice and somehow I feel that he suits a slightly more grunge sound as opposed to the nu metal that he does with Linkin Park, but thats just my opinion.
My friend showed me this song a few years ago. I love it. I agree, he does suit a grunge sound more than the nu metal sound. I prefer his vocals in Grey Daze rather than his vocals in LP.
I wish I could interpret this song though, I can't seem to figure out the meaning.
the song seems to be about having a problem that you can't solve or feeling bad but not knowing why. But I don't quite get the "Don't go too fast my fast my friend, or you'll lose control" part"
It's very iritating to have something in your eye and not to be able to get the damn thing out. Which makes having something in your eye a great metaphor for iritation, discomfort, pain ...
