Supermodel Lyrics

Supermodel

The highest paid piece of ass.
You know it's not gonna last.
Those magazines end up in the trash., yeah

What's the big idea, none of that stuff is even real.
Wanna know how they really feel, yeah

Five thousand dollars a day,
Is what they pay my baby
For her pretty face.
Five thousand dollars a day,
Is what they pay my baby
For her pretty face.

I came over as soon as she called.
'Cause she's a living doll.
And she's famous for nothing at all., yeah
She's living life like a dream,
With a false sense of self-esteem.
I wish she'd trade places with me,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Five thousand dollars a day,
Is what they pay my baby
For her pretty face.
Five thousand dollars a day,
Is what my baby gets paid
For being just another pretty face

Cover art for Supermodel lyrics by Juliana Hatfield

This is one of my favorite Juliana Hatfield songs. It really hits on the fact that the world of the supermodel is so superficial and fleeting that it's almost like the people aren't even real, but just a way to market an unrealistic and discusting standard of beuty. The best part it is a beautiful person talking about the whole thing.
