drawing on from what ellie said i think he takes a step back mentally, the "doo doo" part feels to me like that lalalala im not listening sort of ignorance people do in their heads.

but i dont think this is ignorance, i think its just lack of interest, understanding or care maybe? like being happy within yourself... or this could be the POV of an aloof character - ironicly simplistic when people may think theres a thousand thoughts running through that aloof personality.
