Just like alot of their songs, it is another heartbreak story. about how she is in denial yet at the same time feels like their whole relationship never happened. i think it has a few subtle lines that say there might have been alot of potential. (at least that is how i interpet that last stanza)

Although this is a sad song it's almost impossible to feel like that.
