Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (Black Sabbath cover) Lyrics
You've seen life through distorted eyes
You know you had to learn
The execution of your mind
You really had to turn
The race is run the book is read
The end begins to show
The truth is out, the lies are old
But you don't want to know
Nobody will ever let you know
When you ask the reasons why
They just tell you that you're on your own
Fill your head all full of lies
The people who have crippled you
You want to see them burn
The gates of life have closed on you
And now there's just no return
Nobody will ever let you know
When you ask the reasons why
They just tell you that you're on your own
Fill your head all full of lies
You know you had to learn
The execution of your mind
You really had to turn
The race is run the book is read
The end begins to show
The truth is out, the lies are old
But you don't want to know
When you ask the reasons why
They just tell you that you're on your own
Fill your head all full of lies
You want to see them burn
The gates of life have closed on you
And now there's just no return
When you ask the reasons why
They just tell you that you're on your own
Fill your head all full of lies

This remake doesn't suck. Far from it. Anyone with an appreciation for lyrics would see that the Cardigans do more than make simple girl pop anyway. Their lyrics tend to be completely dark lyrically.
The Cardigans guitarist is a huge metal fan, but also a trained jazz arranger. He likes to do these Sabbath covers as a way to mix two of his greatest loves.
Personally I think Sabbath is boring as all hell. I appreciate their importance as an influential band, but I can't stand to listen to them. The Cardigans are probably my only access to old Sabbath. So I think they deserve a little credit for exposing people to Sabbath who might otherwise never have been interested.
I think you're being overly critical "Nicole In Wonderland". They did a good job in my opinion, and I hope you arn't just saying that so you'll sound like a die hard Black Sabbath fan, because there's nothing wrong with the Cardigans covering Black Sabbath. I actually think it's really cool for them to do so. This cover is just so good.
I like this remake, and I really like the original. It sounds very different, but not worse, no way. I don't like Ironman cover, but this one is great!
In my opinion is better the Cardies version than the original!
I think these Sabbath covers pay tribute to the originals. A great cover takes the original to a new direction while paying homage to it. I think Ozzy even loved these covers. I they are great.
I think The Cardigans remake of this song and any other Black Sabbath song sucks! Especally "Iron Man" I think that they just ruined the song and made it sound like shit..I mean they didnt even have the gutar in the background like Black Sabbath does it. They totally ruined a classic. I like The Cardigans, but they just need to stick to poppy girl music.
