(We Won't) Stop the War Lyrics
So now we talk about destruction
'bout the way that we might go
I've seen the headlines in the papers,
The truth is more that we should know.
Somebody wake me from this nightmare,
Is this a TV horror show?
We can run and we can walk
We can sit and we can talk.
But we won't stop the war - oh no!
Silent whispers in the ice-machine today
Calling for my brain in silent ways,
No more changes in this world in which we live in
And I don't know who the guy is
Who's talking with the friendly grin.
I never heard of any bargain
I don't know what's goin' on
We can shout and we can pray
It doesn't matter anyway
We won't stop the war - oh no!
Somehow - I might go insane
Somehow - I might lose my brain
Somehow - I might not even care
And somehow - I never ever willing to accept the way
That things are going
We can run and we can walk
We can sit and we can talk
We won't stop the war.

Amazing song about half-apathetic liberals that think they're doing something helpful by talking about issues, when really they're just pacifying themselves and doing nothing for the peace effort.
Its a great song, the meaning is pretty obvious but there something I dont understand... Is Gamma Ray a right or left winged band?
@metal10758 Why would they need to be either? I don't think they're a partisan group. Their songs are written by various different members of the group who have different opinions. For example: Real World and Send Me a Sign, both fantastic songs, have very different perspectives on theology.

Beside, left/right is a false dichotomy. The political spectrum is far more diverse and complex than that, and it doesn't help anyone to organise everyone into two tribes.
