Yeah, yeah, ah, yeah
I live my life like there's no tomorrow
And all I've got, I had to steal
Least I don't need to beg or borrow
Yes, I'm livin' at a pace that kills

Ooh, yeah
Ahh (Runnin' with the devil)
Ahh-hah, yeah
Woo-hoo-oo
(Runnin' with the devil)
I'll tell you all about it

I found the simple life ain't so simple
When I jumped out, on that road
I got no love, no love you'd call real
Ain't got nobody, waitin' at home

Ahh, yeah
(Runnin' with the devil)
(God, in the name of the lord of Nazareth, I'm only gon' tell you one time)
Ahh, yeah
(Runnin' with the devil) you bet I am, yeah
Woo
Woo

You know, uh, I found the simple life weren't so simple
When I jumped out, on that road
Got no love, no love you'd call real
Got nobody, waitin' at home

Ha-yeah
(Runnin' with the devil)
Oh God, oh God, I'm runnin', aw yeah
(Runnin' with the devil) uh, uh
Ooh ooh, one more time

(Ha-yeah)
(Runnin' with the devil) (oh, yeah)
(Runnin' with the devil) (woo, woo, woo)
(Runnin' with the devil) (ah-ha, yeah, ah-ha, yeah, ah-hah, yeah)
(Runnin' with the devil) (woo)

Van Halen, covenanted band from album 1, for example Arosmith covenanted band from album 2, hence the name "Get your wings"... This song is about the bands allegiance to the lord of this world, for example BlackSabbath's "Lord of this World"... yes it's about Satan, hence the monumental success, hence the power of the devil, it's all true, as Jesus testified to after 40 days fasting in the boonies, Satan offered him related glories and rulerships, as others have temporarily received. Imageing now, not david lee roth, but Satan singing some of these lines

I live my life like there's no tomorrow (hedonistic, blatant disrespect for life) and all I've got, I had to steal (like mankind, among other things) Least I don't need to beg or borrow (justifying) Yes I'm livin' at a pace that kills (again no respect for the Maker of life)

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
