Do You Miss Me Darlin' Lyrics
What good is it
If I can’t even sing it to you
What good is it
If I can’t even come out and sing it to you right now
‘Cause talkin’ won’t do it
And walkin’ won’t rush it along.
What good is it
If I can’t even bring it to you
What good is it
If I can’t even come out and bring it to you right now
‘Cause talkin’ won’t do it
And walkin’ won’t rush it along.
Do you miss me darlin’
Sunday afternoon,
Do you miss me darlin’
Monday, Tuesday too,
Do you miss me darlin’
Friday morning, noon,
Do you miss me darlin’
Will you see me soon...
Do you miss me darlin’....
If I can’t even sing it to you
What good is it
If I can’t even come out and sing it to you right now
‘Cause talkin’ won’t do it
And walkin’ won’t rush it along.
If I can’t even bring it to you
What good is it
If I can’t even come out and bring it to you right now
‘Cause talkin’ won’t do it
And walkin’ won’t rush it along.
Sunday afternoon,
Do you miss me darlin’
Monday, Tuesday too,
Do you miss me darlin’
Friday morning, noon,
Do you miss me darlin’
Will you see me soon...

yet another awesome song...why has no one commented yet??
takes me back to when i was 15 and hanging in the basement with the gang.
I love this song. The opening chokes me up a little bit, he sounds so passionate about what he's singing.
I can't quite figure this one out. But it's a nice bluesy little tune.
When it start off, he is in a frustrated relationship, he can talk but he can't sing to her, he can't bring it to her.
The second part of the song he is apparently out of the relationship. "Do you miss me" seems to indicate that she could have done something to make the relationship work.
Maybe she was married or in another relationship.
A little bit of a mid-80s country vibe to this one, especially the instrumentals, but also in song structure. Burton and Kurt were doing mid-80s country a dozen years before it existed. I could imagine Foster & Lloyd or Dwight Yoakam doing their own spin on this masterpiece.
