Left Hand Charity Lyrics
A classroom circle slowly drifts on...
I knew right then I'd carve you name, so I...
Save your charity it's gone too far now as it seems
I drive by your scenery...
All the while I died that night...
Please come back, tell me it's alright
And save your charity it's gone too far now as it seems...
Little boys that misbehave
And I want to look you in your eye...
I want to look you in your eye...
Want to look you in your eye
I want to look you in your eye
I knew right then I'd carve you name, so I...
Save your charity it's gone too far now as it seems
All the while I died that night...
Please come back, tell me it's alright
Little boys that misbehave
I want to look you in your eye...
Want to look you in your eye
I want to look you in your eye

I think this song is about someone the singer loved as a child somoene who was very nice "Save your charity it's gone too far now as it seems" anyways they then died an he drives by their grave often just wanting to see them again.... You are right serratedends this song is very sad and beautiful
Oh, God.. this song is so beautiful. I can't believe nobody has commented on it. I, for sure, have no possible idea of what this song may represent - but as a shot in the dark.. it could possibly mean that somebody (( either the writer, or the writers friend )) has gone through a break-up with a significant other, and still can't get over his or her lover.. All I know is that I love this song. It's so sad.. I cried while listening to it..
"I knew right then I'd carve you name" - how kids carve their initials into tree-trunks NB4BB or summat. I love the line "Please come back, tell me it's alright". It's just so beautiful and shows that not all men are uneducated, senseless neaderthals.
how sad, i logged on just so that i could write about this song. i'ves been listening to this song for about, mmm, 2 weeks none stop. after 500 listens i began to wonder wat he is saying, is it just me or do u find it almost impossibe to know wat he says (i don't hav the sleeve) Anyway, i LOVE this song!!!
Part of me wants to think of this song as a love song and part of me senses something different. "I drove by your scenery, all the while I died that night, please come back, tell me it's all right..." I think I've been in this situation before... like he's in love with someone, and every time he sees her even just something that reminds him of her he dies a little bit inside because he wants her and wants her to love him or at least tell him that everything's ok. Either that or she died and he wants to be reassured that everything will be alright without her. I'd like to know what that line "I knew right then I'd carve your name" is about. From what I can figure out it's another way of saying "I knew right then you would be the one I want to spend the rest of my life with." Now that I think of the classroom circle shit... this song sounds REALLY personal. I would guess that he met someone at a real young age in school and loved her ever since and maybe she died or moved away or something. Maybe the driving by the scenery is him driving by where she used to live and dies a little every time from the pain of losing her. oh well, just a thought.
the band were meant to have had 5 members when thney started out, but the bassist was killed in a car crash and the second guitarist left soon after, possibley the verse "I drive by your scenery... All the while I died that night... Please come back, tell me it's alright" is refering to the deceased bassist, the scenery could be the gravestone, and perhaps brock[the singer] was in the car and surived, but wishes that it had been him that died if his friend had lived, and the last line is asking for forgiveness, closure, to let his soul rest.
did anyone see them at the roadrage tour? a uk question
