Bury Me Where I Fall Lyrics
Come brush away these fists and I will tell you everything
I hope you know how long I'm lacking
So carve my name and take me to the strength under it all
Then bury me where I fall
Push and pull like sex machines, like sex machines
Push and pull like sex machines, like sex machines
Questioning if I should even be here
I won't make that same mistake
And taking to bed all these things that I hate
I will complain, I will complain
A bleeding light has made us all want to just wash away
And best believe I want it blinding
Under it all I black out holes and glorify disguise
Still draining me from all this strife
Push and pull like sex machines, like sex machines
Push and pull like sex machines, like sex machines
Questioning if I should even be here
I won't make that same mistake
And taking to bed all these things that I hate
I will complain, I will complain
Stare at the sun
Staring at the sun...
Questioning if I should even be here
I won't make that same mistake
And taking to bed all these things that I hate
I will complain, I will complain
...Bury me where I fall
I hope you know how long I'm lacking
So carve my name and take me to the strength under it all
Then bury me where I fall
Push and pull like sex machines, like sex machines
I won't make that same mistake
And taking to bed all these things that I hate
I will complain, I will complain
And best believe I want it blinding
Under it all I black out holes and glorify disguise
Still draining me from all this strife
Push and pull like sex machines, like sex machines
I won't make that same mistake
And taking to bed all these things that I hate
I will complain, I will complain
Staring at the sun...
I won't make that same mistake
And taking to bed all these things that I hate
I will complain, I will complain

I agree, I believe that this is about sex with no love or feelings attached. It's like the people involved fall into a routine and the act of intercourse doesn't mean anything to them. I also believe that he doesn't like the girl, poor thing
yes yes yes yesyes yes
I didn't like this song at first but now it's grown on me and I really like. Especially the line "Push and pull like sex machines, like sex machines" I don't know why! lol
But on the amning of the song...I think it could be about meaningless sex. the line : "Push and pull like sex machines" - sex has become so devoid of love and feeling the participants have turned into cold, un-feeling robots due to descentization
when people die on mountains and other such inhospitable places, the bodies are meant to be left there, bury me where i fall, their bodies are not to be touched by other climbers, so perhaps he doesn't want this girl to touch him, just want the sex and then for her to leave.
good fucking point!!!! i've never thought of it that way and i've been listening to these guys for almost 3 years now. damn, still finding something new in Brocks lyrics, even after all this time......
I find it as a mixture of both what Everlong said and what the others said, with a little of my own ideas in there. I think what it is would be that, again when people die on mountains(Brock lived by quite a few), they are meant to just die there. I think Brock is telling someone who is hurting him, and is in the relationship that the love has run out in(push and pull like sex machines), to just leave him as he dies, and let him be left with nothing more than his name and his peace(So carve my name and take me to the strength under it all, and bury me where I fall). In the end, I believe the line "Stare at the sun" describes both the light he will be blankly gazing at after his death, and the pain of dealing with this relationship and looking into it, only to find yourself going blind. Eh.. maybe its just me.
yeah probably :-P
I agree with what all u guys are saying, and i didnt like this song at first but it grew on me...i love the intro....especiall they "aaww!!" at the start. Its an awesome song
The line "And taking to bed all these things that I hate" is just awesome. I think we all do the every single night.
