I think this song is about a situation in a relationship where he's saying that he's "Stripped away" everything for his girlfriend so that she see him for what he really is, especially the line "This is me" then he's kinda asking her "Well, is it?" Then at the end of the song he truly knows who he is and so does she.

i think this song really reflects whats going on to me right now, by having a love for someone, and then beating your self up for letting them down in ways fit, when he says i fail i think he is saying to the person that he failed to love her, and when he says look you in the eye and tell you it all, i think it means he wants to show her how much he loves her, well thats what it means to me, i listen to this song everyday because i think it reflects whats going on to me

36 Crazyfists have lyrics meny people can relate to...this is why im very suprised not very meny people know of them. i can relate to this song...i have the same idea. its about beating yourself up for failing a loved one...or thats what i picked up from it

Yup...I can honestly say that I can relate to this song. Just like almost every other one of their songs. I know some of my friends absolutely have 36 Crazyfists, and I can't seem to understand why...Oh well. They totally rock, and I love them to death.

I think that this song is about cheating on someone and not knowing how to tell them. "All I have, All I betray... Tried to sit you down and take the fall."

1 of my fav. 36CF songs. i think its about giving everything you have for a person, and them still not being satisfied, and in the end, you see it was not worth it, but the damage has already been done to yourself and the people who WERE true to you. i read in an interview that brock writes his lyrics for everyone to take meaning, but to him, they are simply him yelling at himself for shyt in his life. what a fucking genius he is.....

Defjaw is right, Brock didsay that most of his lyrics are him just yelling at himself for the problems in his life. However, in the case of "An Agreement Called Forever", I believe Brock is probably in a relationship, most likely with a fiance, and he is stripping away his outer layering to show her that he cannot be loyal, and will simply fail to love her properly.

It's just about: Brock screwed up and he is telling someone he loves that he's failing and probably needs help
