Flux Lyrics

In times of change I find comfort in the moon.
Planes take us away.
Stars disguise themselves sometimes, to prevent our wishes.
In days when it's rumored that life will come to an end.
People inevitably fall off the human trees.
Will this apocalyptic dream become?
Who to believe when the mass population was raised to deceive, Including me?
There is no ultimatum no negotiation there is no going back.
Animals roam the streets, including me.
Beware of the competition.
In days when it's rumored that life will come to an end.
People inevitably fall off the human trees.
Will this apocalyptic dream become?
World based on chance
It's no wonder nothing ever seems right.
Submerged in flux, guiding stars some how seem to hide.
We all suffer in suffocation.
If I stay out here long enough, my star is bound to show.

Cover art for Flux lyrics by Devenir

To me, this song, like all of the Devenir songs, holds many meanings. The line, "Animals roam the streets, including me", is my favorite. When I first heard this line in the song, "Who to believe when the mass population was raised to deceive, Including me? "...my heart stopped. It's amazing how Eddie can write songs and the ways in which so many different people from different backgrounds and walks of life can relate to them. Best of luck to my boys... <3 your Merch Girl

we all do suffer

Eddie shows how humans act on hope and action when humans are in distresss and/or competition. . . The line, "We all suffer in suffocation" represents just how society is today. And how "wishing upon a star", so many people make wishes that the stars must hide themselves because hope and dreams are riding on them to be granted. . .

I think this may be my favorite Devenir song. And the screaming fits so well with the song. You can really sense the emo.
