The Beltsville Crucible Lyrics

true friends stab you in the front
keep you from getting what you want
when one more fix could kill you
they help you realize that
you’re more and less than you first had believed
you’ve so much to give and there’s so much you need
shortcuts through graveyards and a brand new way to breathe
three thousand miles just to learn
all that’s gold does not all shine
and helping words aren’t always kind
when one more kiss could kill you
they help you realize that
you’re more and less than you first had believed
you’ve so much to give and there’s so much you need
shortcuts through graveyards and a brand new way to breathe
three thousand miles just to learn
how to let my guard down
accept the fire has spread among us
and if you’re feeling all right
you’ve got to play it again
you’ve got to play it again

from listening to thice i have also noticed that their lyrics are very general, but they are also very personal and emotional. This being true, different people will soak the emotions up in a personal way. When you listen to this song, dont try to find some ultra in-depth meanig. Accept what it says to you. (wow i didnt realize i had any depth!)

This song is all about someone who is helping a friend getting off drugs when he is seriously hooked. And that to be a good friend you sometimes have to hurt them in a way that they think that you're against them but you're really jsut looking out for them and doing what's best.

this is about how some friends will just watch their friends self-destruct but a real friend doesnt want to see his friends hurt and is willing to hurt him in order to save him from greater pain. i've had a time when i couldve saved a close friend from ruining things for himself but i was too scared to hurt him in the short term that i let him hurt himself in the long term
