Hit Lyrics

this wasn't supposed to happen
I was happy by myself
accidently you seduced me
I'm in love again

I lie in my bed, Totally still
my eyes wide open, I'm in rapture
I don't believe this, I'm in love again!

this wasn't supposed to happen
I've been hit with your charm
how could you do this to me?
I'm in love again
I lie in my bed - totally still,
my eyes wide open - I'm in rapture.
I don't believe this, I'm in love again

this wasn't supposed to happen!
this wasn't supposed to happen!

a small story which never happened
I said ouch! this really hurts!
that can't be this has been
practised for millions of years
therefore we are
yes, but I, I'm a boy

a small story which always happens
I said ouch! this really hurts!
this could well be
but this has
been practised for millions of years
therefore we are
yes, but, you're a girl!

I lie in my bed - totally still
my eyes wide open - I'm in rapture
I don't believe this - I'm in love again

this wasn't supposed to happen!

I lie in my bed - totally still
my eyes wide open - I'm in rapture
i'm in rapture
you've put a seed inside me
oh
and while you're away
seed
it's growing silently
to be a life
starts in my stomach
embraces my insides
inside
and about to reach my heart

this wasn't supposed to happen!
this wasn't supposed to happen!

this really hurts!

Falling in love against your own will, as if love all of sudden becomes the violent part, and takes you over, and then you're stuck with this guy constantly on your mind, it's anoying 'cause you planned other things in life, and you want to be free.

i think its about falling in love by surprise, when you werent ready, and then about pregnancy, maybe took by surprise too. and when it says: "and while you're away it's growing silently" i thought it means that the father left her, because it was an unwanted pregnancy. that´s my interpretation.

Since no one else did this - would have preferred someone who speaks iclandic - apparently the icelandic is: "eg og hann vio segjum eg og hann finnum til" and this translates to "Me and him will tell you Me and him find"

I used to think it was about just suddenly falling in love and the rush that comes with it. Then I thought it was daydreaming about that...and then pregnancy. Now I think it's all of the avobe - falling for someone, daydreaming of them, getting pregnant, aborting and eating the fetus.

@stentorian Not sure why you're getting thumbs down. The pregnancy imagery is there ("You put a seed inside me ...") Even if you think this is meant to be metaphorical, look at the single sleeve: there is a depiction of sperm penetrating an egg.

The band was very clever, their lyrics could go to unusual places like this.
