Sunday After You Lyrics

I named Sunday after you
When this place was burning down
I swear this is the first time I ever lied to you
And it's funny and it's sick
How this house was fallen down
I swear my mind was transported to the other side

And nothing's what it seems anymore
Nothing's what it seems anymore

I come running
Through the worlds that you have built
It's clear my fit is tormented by your lying eyes
And it's lovely
I live out every pretense
I swear my heart is broken by your words again, again, again

And nothings what it seems anymore
Nothing's what it seems anymore
My life ain't what it seems
Living out tired dreams
Where nothing's what it seems anymore

Again
Over take over again
Take it all again
Over take over
Again and again
Again and again
Again and again and again and again

And nothings what it seems anymore
Nothing's what it seems anymore
My life ain't what it seems
Living out tired dreams, where
Nothing's what it seems anymore, yeah...

In this song it seems as if the person is second guessing himself. He is taking time to think about how things are going in his life. And it also seems that he has hurt someone that he really cared about and his life isn't what he thought it to be anymore.

I think this song speaks about when a guy like myself had fallen head over heels over a girl and at the very moment he had met this wonderful, wonderful person, his entire world turned upside-down and everything appeared differently to him as compared to how everything used to be and he's in agony from the consequences that this girl, whom he still adores, has put upon him.

"I need Sunday after you" is actually "I named Sunday after you."

There are several incorrect lines in this...I'm going to see if I can submit corrections.

This is according the original hand-written lyrics, where are/were hidden in the NewSacredCow site:

"I need Sunday..." should be "I named Sunday..."

"Well, nothing's what..." should be "Where nothing's what..."

And even though it doesn't entirely make sense to me, "it's clear my fate..." should apparently be "it's clear my fit..."

Checking a dictionary, it appears "fit" once had an alternate use, defined as "a division of a poem or song." So maybe that's it.
