Yeneh Ababa (Rose) Lyrics
Take me for the rose I am
Lay yourself in my bed again
Showered and covered
in petals of red
Are you lonely?
Are you lonely?
Blame me for the thorns my friend
Does the pain outweigh the blessing?
Showered and covered
in petals of red
Are you lonely?
Are you lonely?
go slow
and I will cover you
go slow
but you left me high and wide
you left me high and wide.
Take me for the rose I am
Lay yourself in my bed again
Showered and covered
in petals of red
Lay yourself in my bed again
Showered and covered
in petals of red
Are you lonely?
Are you lonely?
Blame me for the thorns my friend
Does the pain outweigh the blessing?
Showered and covered
in petals of red
Are you lonely?
Are you lonely?
and I will cover you
go slow
but you left me high and wide
you left me high and wide.
Take me for the rose I am
Lay yourself in my bed again
Showered and covered
in petals of red

I asked Kenna what Yeneh ababa means, obviously its ethiopian, but he said it means "My Rose" Given the title I would have to say its a love song. Kenna is a very cool dude, if you have any questions, you can ask him on his myspace and he will personally answer you.
This song sounds like a love song. It may or not be one though. In this song it sounds like the person wants to be accepted for who he is. I liked it.
I think its a love song too.. but Im not really sure, and I went here to see, but apparentally only one person commented.
Either way, I like this song a lot.
Beautiful Lyrics are so vivid and pretty, I had high expectations for this album, and the expectations were met.
OMG this song is so touching, my favorite by kenna.
I was just listening to this earlier and I was thinking about how I got to see Kenna and Chad perform this absolutely beautiful song live.
