Leap Of Faith Lyrics
One less call to answer
Feeling full of despair
Don't think I can get through it
Just one last prayer
And it's a leap of faith
When you believe
There's someone out there
It's a leap of faith
When you believe that
Someone cares, oh
And when I call out to you
Will you be right there
Right there
Searching for the answer
Nobody seems to care
Oh how I wish that
You were here
Beside me
To wipe away my tears
And it's a leap of faith
When you believe
There's someone out there
It's a leap of faith
When you believe
That someone cares, oh
And when I call out to you
Will you be right there
Right there
Waiting for the answer
Remembering times
We would share
Somehow I feel
You here beside me
Even though you're not there
And it's a leap of faith
When you believe there's
Someone out there
It's a leap of faith
When you believe that
Someone cares, oh
And when I call out to you
Will you be right there
Right there
And I'll be waiting
By the window for
Your smile to come through
And I'll be waiting
In the darkness when
I call out to you
And I'll remember
When you told me
I could trust in you
And it's a leap of faith
When you believe
There's someone out there
It's a leap of faith
When you believe
That someone cares, oh
And when I call out to you
Will you be right there
It's a leap of faith
And I believe that
You are out there
It's a leap of faith and
I believe you truly care, oh
And when I call out to you
I know you'll be right there
Right there
And it's a leap of faith
Feeling full of despair
Don't think I can get through it
Just one last prayer
And it's a leap of faith
When you believe
There's someone out there
It's a leap of faith

Michelle Branch is one of the most telented young singers I have heard in a long time! I really enjoy this song! I am divided about this song, it's clear from the beginning "one less call to answer" that it's talking about the end of a relationship. But then I believe it would be one of two things. Either it's talking about another person, a friend, who she turns to in her time of need after the end of the relationship, perhaps a close friend. Who she can depend on. On the other hand it could also be the rebirth of the same relationship that had fallen apart in the early lines. That would be the untimate leap of faith, trusting enough to start over with someone, believing that they still care despite what has been said during the end of the relationship. She's remembering that they said "I could trust in you," which is bittersweet. Obviously she thought that she could trust him before and now it is really a leap of faith to reaffirm that trust which has been broken. I'm really undecided though!
ohhhhhh i love this song! michelle branch is awesome shes one of the only not fake, super talented, female artists out there and i just love her i do....everyone should download this song right now or heck just go out and get the cd! why not shes great i love her and you will too
Michelle wrote the song after her grandma died. It was about her and how much Michelle missed her...
I feel this way whenever a breakup or something similar comes. You don't want to trust people ever again.
i think it symbolizes the end of a relationship.... any type of relationship. it shows gratitude as well as questions, and a little hint of lonliness. "and i'll remember when you told me i could trust in you..." it really is a leap of faith, though in any relationship.... this song is filled with truths not many people have the power to express as eloquently as she does.
I don't know why, but my favorite part is when she sings, "Somehow I feel you here beside me even though you're not there" I love this song; not only is it my favorite off of "Broken Bracelet," but it's one of my favorite songs by Michelle.
This is a good song, has great meaning, and awesome lyrics. Ups to Michelle.
