Awesome song! To me I think its ment to encourage you before a battle.. of whatever kind. I always think of this song before I have a match.
The chorus reminds me of a Spartan Phalanx. Never surrender, death in battle is as glorious as can be, united we stand, defending each other. Also, ancient Greeks put a huge emphasis on fate.
