I'm obsessed with the line "A circle of angels deep in war, coz I wanted you". It's as if she wants this person so bad that she'd go against destiny, disturbing god's plans. Even if he's not the one for her. But I love the fact that although she's defencless, she's saying "well, fuck you then!".

k's choice has covered this song... and it's great. The song is about recovering from a hard relationship that hurt us and from which we were though responsible for (" cos I wanted you" : she feels guilty because the pain she suffered is all because of her). the way of recovering is to be strong enough to refuse to go back in the former lover's arms.

I think this song is absolutely amazing. I think it's about how deeply she felt for someone and then a sudden realisation that she could do better, and that she was stronger because of her relationship.

I always thought this was an open letter to a christian-type god (an ideal). Sort of being disappointed at the sickness and evils of the world. Even if I'm totally wrong, you have admit the song is about that sort of level of frustration.

I usually think of this song as anger after having been broken up with. Complementing the feeling of rejection with the outright offense and sarcastic disbelief that the breaking party is a little pile of moldy shit one could not take seriously again.

I do really like the religious interpretation above though. It works for me. Thanks.

I think it is about giving everything to a lover who then proves to be an absolute bastard, regardless you cant help loving them but you tell yourself you wont cry for them because of your pride.

the verses are about the things that you do when your guard is down 'because i wanted you' is the justification for letting yourself be hurt, the chorus convincing yourself that you won't waste your tears on them.

everyone seems to have summed it up well she gave him everything 'cos i wanted you' which makes her weak, she let herself be hurt, yes, but she's still not gonna cry with him - yes she's trying to convince herself not to. really powerful song.

and i mean cry FOR him, not WITH him, obviously. he's not crying. probably laughing.

I am obsessed with the line " If I open my heart, there will be no space for air, coz I wanted you". Imagine how much she did love the person. Almost physically we can feel her love- she feels like she is dying of love, she cant breath, she cant cope with this love that chokes her. She cant breath. she is weak. and yet, her survival instincts scream - I am I too much for you// she knows all she gave was for nothing. alone, she will recover of course. a bloody mess//
