Hot ish (hot ish)

Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby
Your street in a Range Rover (come on)
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go (hot ish)
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now
Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby, your street in a Range Rover
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now (uh, uh, uh)

Mmm, you can find me in St. Louis rollin' on dubs
Smokin' on dubs in clubs, blowin' up like Cocoa Puffs
Sippin' bub', gettin' perved and gettin' dubbed
Daps and hugs, mean mugs and shoulder shrugs
And it's all because accumulated enough scratch
Just to navigate it, wood decorated on chrome
And it's candy painted, fans faintin' while I'm entertainin'
Wild, ain't it? How me and money gettin' acquainted
Plus I hang with Hannibal Lector (uh, uh, uh) (hot ish)
So feel me when I bring it, sing it loud (what?)
I'm from the Lou and I'm proud
Run a mile for the cause, I'm righteous above the law
Player my style's raw, I'm Born to Mack like Todd Shaw
Forget the fame and the glamour, give me D's with a rubber hammer
My grammar be's Ebonics, gin, tonic and chronic
Scratch Bionic, it's ironic, slammin' niggas like Onyx
Lunatics 'til the day I die and I run more game than the Bulls and Sonics

Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby
Your street in a Range Rover (come on)
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go (hot ish)
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now
Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby, your street in a Range Rover
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now (uh, uh)

Who say pretty boys can't be wild?
Loud figures, O.K. Corral then
Foul, then us runnin' the club and bustin' the crowd then
"How then?" Ask me again and it's goin' down then
Now then come to the circus and watch me clown then
Pound then, what you be givin' when I'm around then?
Frown then, talkin' that sh- when I leave the town, then
Say now, can you hoes come out to play now?
Hey, I'm ready to cut you up any day now
Play by my rules boo and you gon' stay high
May I answer your Third Question like A.I
Say hi, to my players left in the slammer
From St. Louis to Memphis, from Texas back up to Indiana
Chi-Town, K.C., Motown to Alabama
L.A., New York Yankee sluggers to Hotlanta
Louisiana, gettin' paid off this "Country Grammar"
Smokin'- in Savannah, blow thirty mil' like I'm Hammer

Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby
Your street in a Range Rover (come on)
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go (hot ish)
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now
Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby, your street in a Range Rover
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now (uh, uh)

I'ma show these cats how to make these millions
So you quit actin' silly, mon
Kid quicker than Billy, mon, talkin' really and I need it, mon
Flows, I kick 'em freely mon, especially off Remi, mon
Keys to my Beemer, mon, holla at Beenie Man
See me, mon, cheifin', rollin' deeper than any mon
Through Jennings, mon, through U-City back up to Kingsland
With nice players, shiest players who snatch yo' life and they
Trife when they, who produce and sell the same beat twice (hot ish)
Ice baby, all over close to never sober
From broke to havin' brokers, my price-range is Rover
Now I'm knockin' like Jehovah, yellin' (let me in now), let me in now
Bill Gates, Donald Trump, let me in now
Spend now, I got money to lend my friends now
We in now, candy Benz, Kenwood and tens now
I win now (woo, uh) lesbian twins now
Seein' now, through the pen I make my ends now

Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby
Your street in a Range Rover (come on)
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go (hot ish)
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now
Mmm, I'm goin' down, down, baby, your street in a Range Rover
Boom, boom, baby, ready to let it go
Shimmy-shimmy-cocoa-what, listen to it pound
Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
