Shambala Lyrics
Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain
With the rain in Shambala
Wash away my sorrows, wash away my shame
With the rain in Shambala
*Ooooh... yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah*
*This part repeats twice after each verse
Everyone is helpful, everyone is kind
On the road to Shambala
Everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind
On the road to Shambala
How does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
How does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
I can tell my sister 'bout the flowers in her eyes
On the road to Shambala
I can tell my brother 'bout the flowers in his eyes
On the road to Shambala
How does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
How does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
Tell me how, how does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
Tell me how, how does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
With the rain in Shambala
Wash away my sorrows, wash away my shame
With the rain in Shambala
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah*
On the road to Shambala
Everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind
On the road to Shambala
In the halls of Shambala
How does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
On the road to Shambala
I can tell my brother 'bout the flowers in his eyes
On the road to Shambala
In the halls of Shambala
How does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
Tell me how, how does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala
Tell me how, how does your light shine
In the halls of Shambala

Shambala is a paradise kingdom in buddist religion. However, shambala might not be a place, but a spiritual mindset
The song is about the mythical kingdom of Shambhala, said to be hidden somewhere within or beyond the peaks of the Himalayas and mentioned in various ancient texts, including the Kalachakra Tantra and ancient texts of Tibetan Buddhism
I've heard its about a Buddhist retreat called Shambala. Three Dog Night didn't write it but this song is great.
Great song heard it on lost and just such a happy song.
It is a Buddhist thing (I think more commonly spelled "Shambhala"). I love this song, it's so happy and fun.
Don't know where Shambala is, but that doesn't really matter...great song.

How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala :D
This song was written by Daniel Moore, who also wrote the classic My Maria. In addition to the Three Dog Night version. B.W. Stephenson did a very rousing version of this song.
Oh, and it is about being under the influence of Marijuana.
