I like this song, but no-one's going to notice because this site pays no attention to any music more than 10 seconds old. It'll be 5 years before I get a reply. This is the Lightning Seeds' best song I think.

I agree, this is my favorite song by the Lightning Seeds, and lol, britpop rocks.
What I think it means: Well, obviously it seems like it's about drugs... but that's about the only thing I can get from it. I love the song but the meaning of the lyrics is a bit confusing!
Other than that, this song is addictive, every time I listen to it once I have to listen to it again. It's a disease! :P
I think this song is about how a woman lied to a guy, but was so sweet that he always fell into her traps and was always absorbed by her lies because she was so sweet. She was a sugarcoated iceberg cause she seemed so sweet and good, but was quite dangerous.

I initially thought it was about an untrustworthy lover, but on my last few listens I noticed the drug connotations. Quite clever: maybe it's intentionally ambiguous?
Got to say I've only just rediscovered this song, brings me back so much, Brother had this on repeat for ages when it came out
