This song is about the assasination of John F. Kennedy. I'm not sure what they are saying about it, but that is absolutely the meaning. The "graffiti splattered on the convertible" is Kennedy's blood. The "grassy knoll" is where many investigators believe there was a second shooter. Many researchers believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was a "patsy", as Oswald claimed. Oswald was a member of a communist group within America. Maybe they're saying there was a connection between communism and Kennedy's assasination.
