Biscuit Lyrics

I'm lost, exposed
Stranger things will come your way
Its just I'm scared
Got hurt along time ago
I can't make myself heard no matter how hard I scream

Ohh sensation
Sin, slave of sensation

Full fed yet I still hunger
Torn inside
Haunted I tell myself, yet I still wander
Down, inside, its tearing me apart

Ohh sensation
Sin, slave of sensation

Ohh sensation
Sin, slave of sensation

At last, relief
A mothers son has left me sheer
The shores I seek
Are crimson tastes devine
I can't make myself heard, no matter how hard I scream

Ohh sensation
Sin slave of sensation

There is a story behind this song. Here is my guess:

"I'm lost, exposed Stranger things will come your way" Its just I'm scared Got hurt along time ago I can't make myself heard no matter how hard I scream"

She is laying naked in front of a man after their sexual intercourse and she is wandering in doubts is this man gonna hurt her also like a previous man did. She is feeling vulnerable beside this man that's why the things will come his way. The man can't hear her fears. She already feels that he is gonna leave her.

"Ohh sensation Sin, slave of sensation"

This part points to that she can not deny her sensations and be the first one to escape even if she wants to.

"Full fed yet I still hunger" Torn inside Haunted I tell myself, yet I still wander Down, inside, its tearing me apart"

Here she is talking about her physical self which she is satisfied with. Her problem lays way deeper in her soul and her emotions. She cannot work it out alone and it's tearing her apart.

"At last, relief A mothers son has left me sheer The shores I seek Are crimson tastes devine I can't make myself heard, no matter how hard I scream"

Finally her doubt was approved. She was left. "A mothers son" is used to show that she really wanted to identify with that man and/or that some part of her didn't believed in what her intuition told her. She understands that she was holding on to the wrong shore. And she again wants to scream so somebody could help her but nobody hears her.

By the way the background says "I will never fall in love again" that's what we usually tell to ourselves after we get hurt by love. But we all are "slaves of sensations" and we keep coming back to it.

You are brilliant. I do not think it could of been explained any better, even by the band itself.

I think this song is about how no matter how many biscuits you eat it never seems to satisfy your hunger in the way a real meal does. This phenomenon also extends to sweets, chocolate and other junk food not mentioned in the song. No, really... I don't have a clue :|

this is a perfect example of how someone that doesn't grasp the metaphor / major theme of a song can be completely and dismally wrong.

it's about loving, the desire love, the fear of loss, the blissful relief of finally getting love. lord almighty.

glory box is such a great follow up to this song.

@RuefulRising "Biscuit " is the name given to a certain type of woman in SOUL MUSIC circles that is allways falling apart(when wet) and whosse mind is mostly in bits.
