As I Wind Down The Pines Lyrics
As I wind down the pines
it's the lines on your face
playing on your face.
Without thinking so much
as abandoning thought
I went through open country
over water meadow streams
lakes and wires and roosts in reeds
to a nest in the hole of
this dead
tree.
To play without stopping or pause
not for silence not for applause
not without thinking
and thinking's abandoning thought.
As I wind down the pines
it's the lines on your face
playing on your face.
it's the lines on your face
playing on your face.
as abandoning thought
I went through open country
over water meadow streams
lakes and wires and roosts in reeds
to a nest in the hole of
this dead
tree.
not for silence not for applause
not without thinking
and thinking's abandoning thought.
it's the lines on your face
playing on your face.

Excellent song to calm down too.
this song seems to be about being to all kinds of beautiful places but the most beautiful thing is seeing the person your with in the different settings....something like that
It's a great way to end a very pleasing albeit very hard to process at first listen CD.
I agree completely with OpinionHead. This is my favorite Tragically Hip song. Such perfect lyrics and perfect sound.
