Its actually the tale of an actual Lake fever, the Cholera breakout on Lake Ontario in the early 20th century.
Two young lovers are walking on the shores, and the young man is asking for sex, in not so many questions. And she basically says yes, by saying "hurry".
Gord had this to say: "I know you don't want to hear it, but in 1832 there was a cholera epidemic up and down the lake. Many people died where you stand tonight. And now here's a song about two young people who don't give a shit."
Great song, but it's as confusing as hell...care to comment on it?
This may seem odd, but it appears that this song takes an esoteric view on a crappy horror movie. Talking in whispers, ceasing the investigation, coital fury, the after-effects part. It sounds like a teenage couple is boning in a cabin by a lake, and they meet their fates in the style of Jason Voorhees.
A reach perhaps, but perhaps about an unreported rape. If revealed publicly would destroy numerous social allegiances so the victim remains silent.
