Superman

This is a good song. I take it to mean that there is no end goal in life, so to speak, no matter how hard you work or how hard you try, there's no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (sorry for the horrible metaphor). You can't rely on fate or destiny or whatever to just suddenly make it easy for you- "that deck of tarot cards, won't get you very far, there ain't no hand to break your fall" , where hand means the hand of cards we're dealt in life, everyone dreams one day they'll just 'draw an ace' or what have you, that ends the game with you victorious (or drawing a card from a tarot deck that grants you wealth/happiness/etc). The only thing that's important is being there for people to rely on when things truly get difficult, or just enjoy being together as you go through life, because in the end, that's all there is, there's no "race" to win it all.

Sorry for over-analyzing. Lots of other great songs on the scrubs soundtrack as well, as many people already mentioned.

Yes it is! I spent so long looking for the song. I think I actually found it by mistake. I added it so at least one place would have the lyrics and maybe someone else would come looking, and find it.

Yes it is the theme to Scrubs but on Scrubs it's sped up a little.

yeah Scrubs is great and all but these guys have been around for a long time and I've loved them since I heard the first note and I suggest buying (not downloading becuase they need your financial support and it's really hard to find) thier first CD 11 Transistor it's forever times greater than the superman song although it very awesome too =) i'll add in some more Lazlo Bane lyrics for you guys

Scrubs is a very swank show! I'm in love with Zach Braff! But anyway...This is a really cool song, the lyrics are really good. It was knid of weird to hear it at first, because it's slwoer than on the theme song. But it's still gravy.

Ya know, it would be pimp if this song was about Jesus. I actually wondered if they were a Christian band? 'That deck of tarot cards won't get you very far' , 'Just take ahold of the hand that breaks the fall', sound like Christian ideals (is that the right word!? l.o.l.). And 'You've crossed the finish line Won the race but lost your mind Was it worth it, after all ' Remindsa me of a verse in the Bible about how we run a race in life, and how we shoul run for Jesus. Just something to think about.

Not to pull hairs, but the title of this great song is just "Superman," not "I'm No Superman." It's track 3 on Lazlo Bane's 2002 album "All the Time in the World."
