My heart goes out to Richard on this one. It seems that the song reflects a couple of stages of grief. First disbelief and some pleading for her to stay, then anger at the end. My favorite song on the album.

I love this song as well as "Miss Blue" which comes after it on "Title of Record". Anger before Depression.

This is my anthem...2 times I've gotten deeply/emotionally involved with a hottie who needed constant man validation. I knew she'd break my heart some day for another guy but I was literally loving the ride too much. I was addicted to crack! My deal with the devil was to enjoy the incredible lust & infatuation knowing that some day she'd break my heart by moving on to another guy. It happened...and like Calvin wrote, the intentional follow-up of "Miss Blue" is a perfect transition from this raw anger/pain rocker to the chill-out ballad. Both mention 1 last time...

this could also be a case of loving someone else's woman, falling for her and wishing that she could be yours...

Pretty sweet song. I read on Filter's site that Richard Patrick wrote and recorded these lyrics right after being dumped by his GF who was cheating on him, so it's pretty clear what this song is about...

The guitar riff is kind of a rip off of Faith No More's Midlife Crisis...

Richard recently did an interview stating this album details his affair with D’Arcy Wretzky while she was married to Kerry Brown. So, yeah, this is about him yearning for her when she was married.
