Errr... There is no evidence here to support that they aren't being anti-christian. Yeah, they are obviously saying thechurch has just become a bunch of preaches and frauds, but they don't say they ARE religious as eyecon claims. keep in mind that less than one third of the world is christian. I am not saying that they aren't religious, but I see no evidence that they are in this, or any of their songs.
This song is slightly anti-christian, but not ant-religeous. The Jesus he is talking about is not the real man, but the kind of symbol that some christians create to there liking. This jesus has no visions or ideals, and just goes around converting people, while the real Jesus isn't like that at all. Also, comparing jesus to Elvis is logical because it's the same kind of worship.
Listen, people. Christianity isn't about changing people to fit the religeon. The bible is not a rule book; it's more of a survival guide. -At least that is my take on it
I would agree for the most part, but I don't know that he's being anti-Christian. I think that he's saying that the word "Christian" has become something it wasn't. It has become a bunch of preachers, hypocrites, and frauds. He doesn't want to be someone who just goes out trying to convert everybody. He's real about it. I think he's saying, "Yeah, I believe in God, and it'd be cool if you did too, but I'm not going to annoy you. I'm not going to talk to you like Charlie Brown's parents: always trying to enforce their agenda on you. Now, I've come to this conclusion because that is how I feel. Yes, I want people to know what I know, but it's clear that walking with God is a choice, and if you choose not to, that is your choice. I don't know if anyone agrees, but there's my two cents for you.

He's talking to someone who's not saying anything meaningful. Remember the "Peanuts" specials, whenever Charlie Brown's parents would talk, all you'd hear is something unintelligible (wah-wah-wah, or something like that).
He clearly states that Jesus and Elvis (who sang gospel music then ODd on drugs) are both lonely, visionless men and that he doesn't want to hear about them anymore. Whether you take that statement as "Anti-Christian" or not is up to you. The first verse is about Elvis. He goes on "Pretending." Pretending to what? Considering his life I would think that Dishwalla assumes he was faking his Christianity to sell gospel records or something. Then Jesus. He says that he doesn't want to go on converting because apparently thats part of the Christian faith and he doesn't feel like he's accomplishing anything, doesn't understand what he's doing. He hears the words, they're just useless to him.
