That to me, is what the song means because that's the most memorable part of the song, it stands out and it's so true!!!
I haven't read the lyrics to this song, but this song has given me the absolute feeling of bliss and repose over the last 5 years of my life. His voice is so unique and inquistive.
Oh, Ross Childress...what a great song!!! It seems to me, it was kind of about himself and the band. It's like he's saying eveyone (as in him), wants to 'be loved in their own way,' by 'haning on every word.' While jumping between groups of people, he's hoping someone will say something nice about him and like him for who he really is.
About a guy who gets reality check from his girlfriend and is told that everyone can be happy, they just have to try to be positive and expect everything, everything, everything.
So far, it's the only track I've noticed Ross Childress singing the lead vocals.
Wow, the first part of this song sounds nothing like their other stuff. I really like this song. It's one of their only songs that isn't always those same high harmonic vocals.
