This song is about a guy who's met a new girl in his life and he's falling in love with her, while making sure his ex knows this song is not about her.
Steve Klein(also the guitarist for nfg) writes all their songs too, and "all about the girls" was about his girlfriend, who is now his ex. and he's making sure to let her know this song really isn't about her. yeaah

This song is about two people who shouldn't really be together for whatever reason. They know they're doing the wrong thing, but to them it feels so right that they can't help themselves. The world is such a complicated place. Everyone should just be able to be with the person they love and who loves them back without all that other crap.
nfg rocks. when i got the self-titled album i couldn't stop listening to it cuz at that time i felt like i can relate especially to this particular song. hit or miss sounds good too.
This song is in reply to an ex-girlfriend (I believe Steve's) Basically most of the songs in NGCS are written to her this song is telling her that he has moved on and isn't writing about her anymore. Thus the line "i bet you thought this song was about you"
I'm not sure... but I'm thinking "Tell Me about your first kiss" might be a pick-up line that he used. However it could also be used bitterly against the girl if Steve was her first kiss
Grr, this song reminds me of my ex boyfriend! I met him when I was 14 and he was my first kiss. My best friend knew it had happened so when I got to her house she blasted this song! It was really embarrassing but I still love NFG!

i think he is using it bitterly cuz in the next line he goes "tell me or have you already forgotten it" like he thinks she's already over him that quickly. but thats just my opinion
