It is a shot at Tomas Kalnoky for being "arrogant" and leaving them with nothing. I love Tomas Kalnoky and I understand. He can't stay in a slow band, he has to be doing something at all times. Catch 22 members were lazy and lacked talent, he had to grow and expand beyond that. That's why Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution and Streetlight Manifesto both kick some serious ass. But I understand why Kevin Gunther wrote this song as well, who wouldn't be afraid of failure after the Great Kalnoky departs?

i think he has a friend or a girl who he went out with and became friends with he just tells him stuff but it means something else and she makes him feel like she means a completly different thing
I think it's an "FU" at tom kalnoky. Hey I do think he was the only real talent behind catch but their description of kalnoky is dead on though, have you read the album covers of streetlight? He sounds pompous to me.

General fuck you song. Could be directed at anyone, although rumor has it it's aimed at Tomas Kalnoky. If that's the truth, well, it just kind of makes them look stupid. Listen to Kalnoky's post Catch 22 work and then listen to Catch 22's post Kalnoky work. No fucking comparison. Not even close in terms of quality and creativity. Kalnoky may be arrogant, but most geniuses are and the guys who stayed in Catch 22 probably wouldn't have much of a career without him and Keasby Nights.
