Sounds like a love song where an innocent person is waking up to a chaotic world but the narrator is there for them for comfort and stuff.
Ed wrote this for his newborn baby. I can sympathize, having been witness to the birth of my daughter around the same time. Simple and truthful song, among the best by CS. And an AMAZING intro... I'm so surprised that no pro sports teams have taken the field to the stirring build.

I agree with drew29.. Like in Twilight, it reminds me of Bella finding this whole new world of vampires and mythical creatures, but Edward will be there for her.
