Cathar Rhythm Lyrics
Don't you come back now
Don't you turn your eyes
And if you dare to look
I'll be waiting.
Impera belisimo
Impera samie vero
To dedi ioshoine gora
You'll hear my prayer
Don't you turn your eyes
And if you dare to move
I'll be waiting.
Impera belisimo
Impera samie vero
To dedi ioshoine gora
Emani diavole
Emore diavole
Eniere mani
Diavole
Impera belisimo
Impera samie vero
To dedi ioshoine divo
Don't you come back now
Don't you turn your eyes
You'll hear my prayer
I'll be waiting...
Don't you turn your eyes
And if you dare to look
I'll be waiting.
Impera samie vero
To dedi ioshoine gora
Don't you turn your eyes
And if you dare to move
I'll be waiting.
Impera samie vero
To dedi ioshoine gora
Emore diavole
Eniere mani
Diavole
Impera samie vero
To dedi ioshoine divo
Don't you turn your eyes
You'll hear my prayer
I'll be waiting...

It is powerful, really I like it, but I'm afraid that alaska98 didn't interpret the Latin parts correctly, they should be like this ..
Latin : " Impera ve nessimo Impera sa mi ve nero Dove di immantore divo " Translation : " The empire is nothing The empire became black Where are you, frightful God "
Latin : " E mani diavole E mano diavole E nere mani diavole " Translation : " And hands of the devil And hand of the devil And black hands of devil "
The Cathars! What a nice name for that middle-age movement considered the true Christians (cathar in greek mean "pure one(s)"). It's very important to mention that this was a dualist movement which means they considered that both Good and Evil existed (the good being the spiritual and the evil, the physical)
The song is about a Cathar singing about the reality of the world. He is praying for (the good) God to come back ("Won't you come back now?", "You hear my prayer") because the world (or empire) became corrupted ("black") and the hands of the devil (the bad God [maybe through the Church]) are holding the empire. So the Cathars were waiting for the good God to come back and spiritualize the world.
Thus the title of the song: "Cathar Rhythm", the rhythm that their hearts vibrated, their thoughts ( e.g. duality) and energy.
OMG i totally love this song! I think that the dark toning and percussion just give this a powerful and strengthening feeling, while the choir lift it and give the depth some light and hope.
