Too Much Lyrics

Love is blind, as far as the eye can see
Deep and meaningless, words to me
Easy lover, I need a friend
Road to nowhere, twist and turns but will this never end

Well my dear you'll know that he pleases me
But sometimes illusion ain't no resolution
That ain't no release for me

Chorus
Too much of something is bad enough
But something's coming over me to make me wonder
Too much of nothing is just as tough
I need to know the way to feel to keep me satisfied

I wrapped myself from around your finger
Hold me too tight or left to linger
Something fine built to last
Slipped up there I guess we're running out of time too fast

Yes my dear you know he soothes me (moves me)
There's no complication there's no explanation
It's just a groove in me

Too much of something is bad enough (bad enough)
But something's coming over me to make me wonder
Too much of nothing is just as tough (just as tough)
I need to know the way to feel to keep me satisfied

What part of no don't you understand
(understand understand)
I want a man not a boy who thinks he can

Boy who thinks he can

Chorus

Too much of something is bad enough (bad enough)
But something's coming over me to make me wonder
Too much of nothing is just as tough (just as tough)
I need to know the way to feel to keep me satisfeid

Too much of nothing so why don't we give it a try
Too much of something we're gonna be living a tie

It should be "he's a lover/ I need a friend" not "easy lover/I need a friend." The former really makes no sense, plus if you listen that's clearly not what she said. The physical part is good and satisfying, but the relationship is rocky and she is emotionally unsatisfied (she needs a friend, not just a lover) but is afraid to leave because then she'll be lonely ("too much of nothing is just as tough").

She loves her man, but too much of him can get old. She wants the love to remain pure and sentimental. She wants someone who will treat her right and not baby her. Spice Girls are still a great old band.

Ok, so this doesn't fall within my typical genre of preferred music, but somehow today I really wanted to listen to this song because I think I finally understand it (or what it means to me anyway).

I think, in summary, she's lonely. She met a young man who is totally into her, really intense, an easy lover. She's not so sure. She is really enjoying the attention and companionship, but something in her knows, he's not quite right.
She tries to push him away because she knows he's not quite up to the job, but it's comforting to have him around, so she is reluctant to completely let him go.

She isn't satisfied with or without him. It's too much, too intense, too fast.

About being in a robotic relationship and the girl is getting unsatisfied because she wants it to grow.
