Q&A
America Lyrics
Loyalty, I gave my loyalty
I gave my heart and my soul.
My heart and soul and all I could give
For a reason to live.
Fidelity, always fidelity
Putting everything I was aside
And I tried to be the best in their eyes.
How could they do this
How could they do this
How could they do this to me?
Suffering, the pain and suffering.
Being separate again, separate again
From what I hold dear.
And the shame of the tears
Disappeared, the honors disappeared.
With the betrayal of trust my body and being.
They washed their hands of me
Once and for all.
How could they do this
How could they do this
How could they do this to me?
This statistic wont lay down
Take a number or stand in line
This statistic wants to hear
That they're guilty about their crimes.
This statistic wont lay down
Take a number or stand in line
This statistic wants to hear
That they're guilty about their crimes.

awsome tune!!!
this is a great song about how many times people who criticize the government are labeled as traitors or unpatriotic, but this song demonstrates their desire to make their country better and the stress it takes
I read an interview where this song has something to do with someone the band knows or is related to coming home from Iraq in 91 very sick from something over there and our government turning their backs on the vets and denying responsibility and help.
A lot of people that fought in the first gulf war came back with what was called Gulf war syndrome. It's basically radiation sickness caused by ezposure to radiation. The radiation was caused by the US military's use of depleted uranium artillery shells in tanks. Depleted uranium is a toxic waste byproduct of the uranium enrichment process for manufacturing nuclear weapons. Uranium is an incredibly dense material and when it is fired from a tank it becomes a socalled kinetic energy weapon that blew through iraq's soviet tanks and melted on contact. the uranium vapor & scrapnel or whatever goes in the air of the explosion site, and creates an area that's radioactive for 10s of thousands of years. everywhere where these shells were fired became a toxic waste dump, and so if any of our own troops came into contact with this stuff they'd be exposed to radiation. Statistics showed that thousands of troops got this gulf war sickness and developed all sorts of cancers, after returning to the states, and a lot of them died from it. The government denies any accountabliity, because if they did accept responsibility, they'd have a huge legal issue with dealing with the vets, they would lose the ability to use this really destructive weapon, and the weapons manufacturers would have to dispose of depleted uranium in a responsible manner.
And what do the fascists say to the people that support the vets?
They're unpatriotic, anti american.
Fascist despotic war pigs is what they are.
