Pickpocket Lyrics
in the humble stence of nativity
hummed the smell of television snow
a faint S.O.S. flickering
riding on the coattails of their ground zero
neighborhood footprints ingrown
the daylight savings time will never know
of this alabaster cold
your lovers quarrel ended up in crawspace
dental identities will tell us apart
teeth marked and bounded with sighs
step into my parlor
said the spider to the fly
stable hooved footprints ingrown
cloak and dagger muzak blared in ohms
in this alabaster cold
ingrown
more calibur per capita
breakfast table search team implodes
the milk cartons that pour will never know
of this alabaster cold
hummed the smell of television snow
a faint S.O.S. flickering
riding on the coattails of their ground zero
neighborhood footprints ingrown
the daylight savings time will never know
of this alabaster cold
dental identities will tell us apart
teeth marked and bounded with sighs
step into my parlor
said the spider to the fly
stable hooved footprints ingrown
in this alabaster cold
ingrown
breakfast table search team implodes
the milk cartons that pour will never know
of this alabaster cold

This song is obviously about the deadly nuclear winter that sets in after two super powers destroy each other with weapons of mass destruction.
this is also an excellent song.
This is the best song! :) Someone had me download it & it's coolness, I never would have noticed what it was about if I hadn't found the lyrics because I couldn't understand what he was saying!
Hmmm..... I remember hearing Cedric introduce this song about a child crawling into an old refrigerator and being forgotten. I think the "ground zero" refers to the nuclear family unit that pervades through suburbia. the "milk cartons" refer to the missing children that are found on the sides of milk. the "lovers quarrel" is the child. When he/she is finally found, the dessicated body is identified by dental records.
Great explaination. See, thats exactly what i love about ATDI. Their songs had true narrative to them. They were never tried to cover a broad topic that most bands try to do to increse their fan base. ATDI never tried to reach out to their fans to get that "hey, i feel that way too" reaction, instead made great songs that stood on their own and the fans came to them. If the "more. more, more calibur per capita " part of this song doesn't hook you then just give up on music.
please people comment this is also a great song whats wrong with u
This song is great, wonderful indeed. I agree with nacho1 says, that makes much sense.
i think breakfast table search team refers to the family waking up and looking for the child, implodin with fear and feeling distraught from not finding the child.
i love this song. it makes me want to dance in a way where my body goes into convulsions. don't lie, you know it does the same for you.
akira, ordinarily i would agree with you about them looking for the child but since he's in the fridge then i'm thinking that they found him by accident when they went to get their breakfast as in "breakfast table search team" so thi song is basically great ne of my favorites off of the anthology
