How Do Lyrics
Hey ho - who is this, no one but me my dear
Please come, say how do,
The things I'll give to you,
A stroke as gentle as a feather,
Hey ho - I am here, am I not young and fair,
Please come, say how do,
The things I'll show to you
Would you have a wondrous sight,
The midday sun at midnight,
Fair maid, white and red,
Comb you smooth and stroke your hair
Please come, say how do,
The things I'll give to you,
A stroke as gentle as a feather,
Hey ho - I am here, am I not young and fair,
Please come, say how do,
The things I'll show to you
Would you have a wondrous sight,
The midday sun at midnight,
Fair maid, white and red,
Comb you smooth and stroke your hair

I love this song so much..There's something enchating and soothing about it, like it wants to enter your soul and run through your blood swimming through you until the song is over, and you wake up.
Liam: "The last tune on the album, "How Do," is a cover tune from an old 1973 British horror film called "The Wicker Man." The song actually features a sample from the film with Britt Ekland. We had to ring her up to get permission to use her voice. I've actually got the piece of paper she signed giving us permission to use it."
When I hear this song (which I LOVE by the way) what immediately comes to mind is when one is on the brink of innocence and loss of innocence. I specifically think about the loss of virginity. The track is soft and sensual, which adds to the idea.

The 'things' she gives is her virginity. He just has to come say 'how do' which I believe implies he has to have her fall in love with him first.

This is such a beautiful, sad, sweet song. There is something very simple and childlike about it; I have this image of two people dropping all pretenses and just accepting each other and enjoying their time together.
This song has actually been done many times by many different people. I know it from a movie called The Wicker Man. The opening to the song with the sergeant part is from the movie. In the movie the chick singing it is trying to tempt a policeman to have sex with her. She is a pagan and they all do it like rabbits.
man this song just puts me in a trans everytime i hear it, perfect song to relax too!!!
This song reminds me of the Devil.... Luring the virgin into Sin - into their realm Which is pretty much the scene from Wicker Man when the Girl sings this song to tempt the Christian. She and the rest of the tribe turned out to be Pagans aka witches. I love this song. So dark yet beautiful
