boy was that true about Avi, we were nothing like friends, and this guy really put me through alot of verbal and mental abuse. i did the physical abuse... ask his balls they'll tell u .......

honestly...this song has special meanings to me....the first person that introduced this song to me was my exboyfriends best friend...me and his best friend ended up being close...and the only thing that stopped us from getting together was my ex....but thats a long story..ANYWAYS...this song just always makes me think of that guy...and how much i care about him and everything like that!

It's about a failing abusive relationship between two people, yet they just can't seem to muster the strenght to finally leave eachother...

They are both on opposite sides of the spectrum, the one side wants to be independant, yet they always end up returning home unsucessful, the other side is very dependant, yet they don't have the courage to find another person who is like them, so they settle for the asshole.

i think that an abusive relationship is possible but i think that maybe this is a song from a womans perspective about being the other woman in a affair. "you wash my trace from your skin and you leave again"

For some reason, I always felt like he was cheating on her. That's why she always washed away the streets, aka another chick. And she washed away her trace because he would just go back and forth between the two. I feel like the entire song fits...

what i get from this song is that defines a relationship I ended a few months ago...this relationship could be summed up in that phrase "40 days of one night stands", which means me and this girl had this kind of "agreement" of sticking only to sex without commitment, has long as we both felt like it...

"Random laid plans, 40 days of one night stands, And when you go you go alone You walk the cross you made your own" summing up what the relationship is like

"I wash the streets from your skin when you come home" - she feels like shes taking all my sorrows from the world, the routines of the day, etc....

This song made me see her perspective (I think) of all....this we had....kinda left me wonderin if she ever wanted a little more commitment...who knows...

He has a woman to go home to, and she is the woman on the side....she is his shame.
