"Liam suggested that suicide kits might as well be available in supermarkets." - I imagine that's where the name came from, (Tesco's being a supermarket here in England - they probably chose to use "Tesko" instead to avoid legal issues)

sneaker pimps is one of my favorite bands, the sound mixes are just awesome! and this song is one of the best
i havnt heard of dis song.. but i truly like d lyrics.. so good, so true. such a convincing get-over-song.
hmmm. it's actually not a get-over song, the band wrote it to mock the ideal of blind independence shoved at young teenage girls. I dunno, the way he leaves off the line "the truth is..." without answering it kinda sums it up for me.
I love this song, she has a great voice. I'm not entirely sure that these lyrics we see here are correct, though. I listened to it several times, and it doesn't sound like "CHOKING on a sweetheart..." and where it says "so low," couldn't that be "solo"? I'm not sure. Ah well, who cares, it's a great song.
I absolutely love the Sneaker Pimps and this has to be one of my Fav. songs. i'd really have to agree with stardust154 on the meaning.
i agree with star dust, the candy metafores as people in there youth, mainly girls. The "cut your hair part" reminds me of my oun "indemendent" teenage girl moment after a week end of partying i dicsed to cut off all my hair because i was tied of the look i had when i was dating my x.
Yeah, I noticed at my high school girls feel the need to be "independent" in the post-feminist age so they like try to be guys, but in the bad ways (fucking every hot guy they see) and it just messes them up.
the truth is there is no truth and there is no way girls are supposed to be. the song is an allusion to, like stardust said, what the media and even our parents tell us (girls) how we are supposed to be and how we're supposed to act. "Get laid, get it over" the first time for a girl is supposed to be painful, "putting on the trousers" its about all the roles girl play in a society but really dont make an impact.
