i think this song is pretty obvious what its about, well in my oppinion its about being and individual and a non conformist, and just being a "freak of nature" when he says "walking totem pole" thats obviosly a reference to his native american blood, but i dont no exactly what he means by the phrase.

This is a fantastic anthem to the avant-garde, but the chorus is like a direct rip from Led Zeppelin's "Nobody's Fault But Mine, the second I heard the Zeppelin song I was like "Whoa, they are bigger Zeppelin fans then I thought"
