Red Sun Burns Lyrics
She took the world up
She was higher than the sky
She didn´t have a need
She didn´t really want for anyone
he didn´t ask for any of this
She painted in the dark
Truth turned into light
But men came in the night
To set her world alight
She didn´t ask for any of this
But the red sun burns
Brighter in the night
Red sun burns
Can make you feel all right
But everywhere you go
There´s still not enough
For everyone
They left her in the ash
Tears lay in her eyes
She swore no one would take
More than they could create
She didn´t ask for any of this
She took the world on
She was higher than the sun
She didn´t have a need
Didn´t really want for anyone
And she didn´t ask for any of this
But the red sun burns
Brighter in the night
Red sun burns
Can make you feel all right
But everywhere you go
here´s still not enough
For everyone
She was higher than the sky
She didn´t have a need
She didn´t really want for anyone
he didn´t ask for any of this
Truth turned into light
But men came in the night
To set her world alight
She didn´t ask for any of this
Brighter in the night
Red sun burns
Can make you feel all right
But everywhere you go
There´s still not enough
For everyone
Tears lay in her eyes
She swore no one would take
More than they could create
She didn´t ask for any of this
She was higher than the sun
She didn´t have a need
Didn´t really want for anyone
And she didn´t ask for any of this
Brighter in the night
Red sun burns
Can make you feel all right
But everywhere you go
here´s still not enough
For everyone

Mark Chadwick, lead singer of the levellers, wrote this when he read a novel, it was about a french woman who was blind, it was based back in the 1800's, the blind woman could paint beautiful pictures and of course she was seen as a witch being able to paint with out having the use of her eyes, the village people got scared, they went on a witch hunt, came in her house and burnt her house down with her in it... dark story. but beautiful.
