Chemically Free Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I'm so glad to see you
the things that you do
are so chemically free
it's a wonder to me
that you're still smiling
I hear you're on top
of the heap
you own nothing
that's cheap
and how is London town
lately
CHORUS
Now you're on top of the world
Looking down on the nation
You're the boy with the girls
Who's above all creation
The man with the plan
Whose going to do all he can
for himself
Did you buy all we sell
all you took from us well
we'll say loves not for sale
and have I hit the nail
you've been holding
all the friends that you've made
for the prices you paid
come to lie at your feet
and worship what you made

the satr of the song reminds me of the people I know who dont get wasted all the time...they go out jogging and hold down a 'proper job' in the city...they own a car etc...its a nice image kind of admirable of those with that type of life...but the end verse is quite sour...its like its showing a shallowness of those who dont believe in the free love hippie type ethos...i dunno

the shallowness of making money and popularity the most important things in life is what I mean.
