Empathy Lyrics
her innocense above me
today is dead she's around my head
between my history between my headphones
this is her home forever her home
but I cant be her brother
to empower her to become her
trawl through this forgivness
my memory's so empathy low
this attitude beneath her
it's evident it denies us
proves herself to be closer
but not me forever mot me
this sickness avoids all cure
imperfection my downfall
learn myself through symptoms
my memory's so
empathy low
today is dead she's around my head
between my history between my headphones
this is her home forever her home
but I cant be her brother
to empower her to become her
trawl through this forgivness
my memory's so empathy low
this attitude beneath her
it's evident it denies us
proves herself to be closer
but not me forever mot me
imperfection my downfall
learn myself through symptoms
my memory's so
empathy low

Chris: "It plays with androgyny and incest. I think that the reason for love is that people want to become one person, this super adrogynous person. It's a personal things, I don't want to sound like a pervert... erm.. okay. It's about a specific person that I am in love with. It's about wanting to become that person, wanting to be inside that person, to be everything to that person; brother, father, mother.. everything."
thornykins, please could you tell me when and in what interview did mr Cornenr say it?

The acoustic version of this is absolutely wonderful. It has a totally different feel from the other one, I think. more haunting. I think it makes the lyrics stand out more.
I am surprised that anyone knows the meaning of the song's title. Very surprised there are comments.
I always thought this song expressed the feelings of a closeted transgendered male, wishing to embrace the female within, but feeling too ashamed to free her. I would love to know which interview features Chris' giving clues to it's meaning. It's a very moody song regardless of it's lyrics.
