it's about kim and charles's (frank black) sour relationship in the pixies. but kim got kelley to sing it, so it wouldn't be so obvious.

Yeah, I thought it was about Kim and Frank Black as well... I love the line "if you're so special then why arent you dead?" One of my favourite lyrics ever, no exaggeration

I agree, it's about Kim's relationship with Charles. I think she was too nervous to sing this herself, so she has Kelley do the singing.

Oh I get it! Song is released in 1993; Charles would have been 28. If he's such a rockstar, why no 27 club?
