It does sound like someone of the corporate world of America, who is very unhappy with where they are at in life. It sounds like they try and please those of higher positions, but can't ever earn the respect they put in.

to me this sounds like writer's block. probably due to record lable pressure to write a hit.
this is an ok song, but not spectacular...but not bad
